TONIGHT

Hawkeyes, Hawkeyes

Are not just any guys

They started out the year looking great

Then our Hawkeyes

Played OSU’s Buckeyes

And their ranking descended from eight.

And then

They traveled to the Hoosiers

And turned out to be losers

With no BCS prize

Big Blue had size

And sacked us until Drew couldn’t rise

Hope dies.

Too late, too late

For us to be deemed great

Perhaps if we win out, then our fate

would have the fame

of a well-known bowl game

that would have a January date

And with

our season nearly over

the Wildcats, Badgers, Gophers

just cut us down to size

The Alamo

Might cause our hapless phoenix to rise
