Even drove a minivan

Life at Travelers wasn’t bad
All the friends and fun we had
Until something
Knocked us cold
‘stead of spun off
we get sold
no more
Then MetLife interviewed our every person
To decide who they can and who they keep
While the job prospects elsewhere seem to worsen
And stress levels were getting pretty deep.
Many families have truly been uprooted
Had to find a new neighborhood and school
From dear Travelers we all have been extruded
And now someone else is swimming in my pool!
Then the movers packed us up
Put our boxes on their truck
Sold our house to reinvest
In a home in the
No more
Far too young to be retired
Vested options all expired
Cardboard boxes still intact
Someday we may get unpacked
So long
