In honor of Tess' retirement.
AUNTIE TESS
You came to Travelers in ’68, Tess
And had a career that turned out great, Tess
Now that you’ve closed this book we really can’t be happier for you
We whom you’ll leave behind just wish that we had been grandfathered, too.
You had the sectors with all the loot, Tess
And got paid to go shopping to boot, Tess
You’d spend a whole day shopping and claim you were researching current dress!
You won’t swim with the sharks again, or have to ignore Marc again,
or see 3-9-9 Park (again?), Tess.
The toughest deals, you got them approved, Tess
Then some, like Utah Jazz, got removed, Tess
Our erstwhile bond goddess, you even were the master of Domain
You may be from Coshocton, but Hartford now will never be the same!
Your style of private trading was grand, Tess
Richie and Scott would eat from your hand, Tess
Had you stayed there much longer Albertus Magnus would have gone co-ed
You won’t fight to the mat again, or tell us of your cat again,
Our hearts go out to Pat again, Tess.
There are some things we want you to know, Tess
So we will say them now, ‘ere you go, Tess
Where will you go when you need to get your fix of college hoop
You won’t find better wisdom anywhere than here at Citigroup.
When you need eye candy for a thrill, Tess,
Who can surpass our boys from Brazil, Tess
Don’t even think Thoreau or Jung can hold a candle to our best!
So when you miss us give a call! Even should your dear Huskies fall
Cause we’ll miss you the most of all, Tess!
