Thank you for visiting this site. It is a collection of many of the parody lyrics I've written over the years. While some of the lyrics deal with situations familiar to us all (politics, the economy, ...), many of the songs deal with situations occurring where I was working at the time. I suppose insiders and co-workers will understand the humor more than outsiders, but I do hope that all readers appreciate this sarcastic walk through my employment history.

Writing parody lyrics has become an annual tradition, celebrated by many gathering for a group sing-along in mid-December. After the group sing, the lyrics are emailed out to the historical participants, as well as others that have requested them.

Some may wonder how I got into this habit, which brings me many recommendations to maintain my daytime employment.  I suppose it began when I was a small child, faithfully listening to my father's Tom Lehrer recordings. As I grew older, I enjoyed the manic humor of Weird Al Yankovic. I then became aware that my father was penning funny lyrics regarding the "exciting" happenings at Lincoln National Corporation, and performing them to great fanfare.  A seed was planted.  That seed began to germinate when I attended a Mark Russell performance at a Salomon Brothers golf outing. The die was cast.  Now I needed the right inspiration.

And in came Sandy Weill, when his firm purchased 25% of The Travelers Insurance Company.  From then on,  there were so many moments of inspiration that Erato needed to take family leave (at which point the company rescinded that employee benefit). But I digress.

I hope you enjoy this pleasant little stroll through the annals of Travelers, Citigroup and other places, while poking fun at the economy, the government and many other deserving targets.
